'"Haa, how nice... Once again, I'm dreaming of girls' soft, squishy parts... I wanna touch them... Eh... If I become an idol, I can make tons of female friends...?! I'll do it, I'll do it!! I'll become an idol!!"

Character Description

Atsumi is an exuberant and touchy-feely girl. Simply put, she is a super-energetic girl with a great love of the female body. Her love extends so far that she enjoys squishy food like soft buns. She became an idol to make lots of female friends, and maybe even engage in some "skinship" with them. When it comes to describing other women, she talks rather perversely, and she is often found gazing at other idols’ bodies.

Her attention span to an assignment is proportionally reduced as the quantity of surrounding beautiful females is increased. This was especially shown at the Hawaiian Beach event, where she was part of the idol group. Atsumi made sure to bring a camera.

Atsumi often schemes up ideas to get other idols to allow her to fondle their breasts, although she has been known to occasionally go overboard. Some idols have managed to use this against her, such as Helen and Manami Kiba.

In the tie-in Cinderella Girls Theater skits, Atsumi proves herself to be very forward in promoting skinship with her fellow idols. When she went into a daydreaming frenzy, Manami Kiba drew her out of it by placing her on her lap and under her own cleavage. Atsumi underwent her own Dream Festival, trying to get other idols’ permission to fondle their breasts. She employed tactics such as acting like a little sister and bribery. Atsumi has occasionally been distracted by breasts by using other objects (particularly food), such as Naho Ebihara’s bread buns, cow udders, and sausage meat.

Trivia

  • Rather than through the popularity poll, Atsumi received a voice actress in order to appear in episode 23 of the Cinderella Girls Theater anime. She is the first idol to receive a voice through that anime, the second being Reina.
  • Atsumi shares the same birthday with Nagisa Aino and Pierre.
    • In Goroawase, her birthday can be read as "oppai" (breast) by adding a 0 before it (081). Without the 0, it can still be read as "pai", which is a short form of "oppai".

Fan Culture

  • Among Japanese fans, Atsumi is known as "Monster Munakata" (Japanese: 淫獣棟方 Injuu Munakata), due to her love for breasts.
  • Fans sometimes group Atsumi with Yukari, Shinobu and Nanami, as they all hail from Aomori. This group is known as Four Aomori Sisters (Japanese: 青森四姉妹 Aomori Yonshimai) or Cinderella Girls Aomori Group (Japanese: デレマス青森組 Deremasu Aomorigumi) in Japanese.
    • Coincidentally, both Atsumi and Yukari are in a Starlight Stage event with the song HARURUNRUN alongside Hiromi Seki.
    • Another fan unit Atsumi is featured in is 151cm (also known as 151's), which consists of idols who share the same height of 151 cm, along with Hinako, Yoshino, Nanami, and Hayate.
      • Nagi and Yume are occasionally included in the unit, since they are the only Cinderella Girls idols at the height of 150 cm, close enough to 151 cm.
    • An official unit with the same members, under the Four Aomori Sisters name, was introduced in the 33rd Dream LIVE Festival and brought back in the 45th Idol Live Royale.
  • Atsumi is also paired with Kurumi (due to Atsumi's habit of groping breasts), Kiyora (since Kiyora is the one responsible for disciplining Atsumi's behavior), Hinako (due to having similar expressions when excited), and even with Mika Jougasaki (due to the latter also being perceived as a pervert by fans), and also with Sexy Guilty in general (especially Shizuku). Outside of Cinderella Girls, Atsumi is also paired with Arisa Matsuda due to the latter's love of idols.
