Self-Introduction

"I'm Ayaka! Whoops, you must be wondering why I'm wearing these clothes from a party. Hm? Idols? I think they're great! What do idols do again? Oh Produceeer, mind if you teach meee?"

Character Description

A 19-year old with a bold fashion sense. She was a former model for magazines. The Producer scouted her after Ayaka played him off as her boyfriend to get away from a man that was hitting on her. She explains through card lines she always had an interest in the entertainment industry. Anything but an introvert, she seems to enjoy being around other people most of the time. She's very kind and courteous to others (likely due to her mother's occupation), despite what her appearance may suggest at first, and is good at counselling others. One of Ayaka's most prominent traits is her interest in beauty, both hair and makeup, which she's both quite skilled and engaged in; she's always researching the latest hair trend. Her mother actually owns a club, which may explain her enjoyment of parties, which she seemed to enjoy going to frequently before becoming an idol. While being an idol commonly associated with beauty, her interest in it doesn't solely involve wanting to attract men at all; she says she hates being hit on and explains through card lines she'd like to get female fans as well as male fans, so it seems she cares more for these things more as a way of letting herself flourish than anything else.

She often refers to "flourishing" in regards to herself and her actions, stating her goal is to flourish. She loves makeup and fashion, and cares about her appearance, even during lessons. She is big on first impressions and is very polite to the staff at her publicity photoshoot, making sure to greet everyone. Before her first live performance, she's nervous about being judged just by her appearance, but when it's decided the handshake event will be held before the live, Ayaka gets the chance to show her true colors and gains confidence from the support given to her before the show.

Ayaka reveals that in school she wasn't a very good student, didn't study, or get good grades. But, her idol work and the producer's support inspires her to work harder and become capable. She is depicted teaching lessons to some of the younger idols and also helps them with their hair and makeup when asked. Her second SR card set shows her practicing and telling the producer she wants to do the best job she can when she's teaching lessons.

Most commonly, Ayaka is depicted with her unit Girls' Power, consisting of Miyabi Tsukimiya and Misaki Etou. She's extremely close with the two, and considers them "more than just best friends". The second most common depiction is with Setsuna Imura, who shares the same makeup hobby.

In the tie in Cinderella Girls Theater skits, she can be seen wishing to be with Producer on White Day and introduces the idols Risa Matoba, Kanna Ariura, and Layla. She is handy with a hair dryer and curler, as she decorates Uzuki Shimamura and Rin Shibuya’s hair as a surprise. Ayaka considers her refinement to be a personality bonus, and wears a wedding dress as her best choice for a photoshoot. When she is told that wearing the dress will make her marry late, Ayaka responds by saying that she’ll have the Producer take responsibility.
