Character Description

Clarice is a compassionate and kind woman of faith. With a love of choir music, she seeks to become an idol to spread joy and happiness. Clarice uses the money she makes as an idol to run charities and pay church bills, all while never keeping any for herself. She is depicted as one of the most levelheaded and mature idols, and as a good listener, due to confessional experience. Clarice will also take the duty of helping out others and take charge of situations in a heartbeat. When faced as a rival by other idols, she considers her defeat to be a sign from God, because the Producer is a good man who cares for others. Due to her work as a woman of faith, she's not very used to being around men.

A popular fan theory is that Clarice is blind, because her eyes are closed in all of her appearances. This has never been officially confirmed, perhaps because she was not originally intended to be. She is able to wander locations without use of a walking stick or trained dog, and she hasn’t been seen with scripts or lyric sheets written in braille. In commus, she is shown having no problems with seeing things neither near nor far away, and even walking a tightrope in her [Thankful Clown] SR.

Additionally, Clarice's religion is kept very vague- it resembles Catholicism in most aspects, but varies from it as well. She is obviously a nun and talks about God and Heaven, but the series never delves into it beyond that.

In the tie-in Cinderella Girls Theater skits, Clarice is shown to be a calm and reserved young woman. She is able to silence Kirari Moroboshi with only a stern look, although it’s hinted that the taller girl may have seen Clarice’s eyes. She believes it is very bad to let food go to waste, and as such forces herself to eat Natalia’s disgusting banana-and-sushi combination. She believes Christmas to be a peaceful and splendid day that should be void of all conflicts. Shiori Sena and Marina Sawada both admit that they would like Clarice to officiate their future weddings. Tsukasa Kiryu and Kiyomi Saejima mistakenly assume her to be asleep due to her always closed eyes.

She is frequently paired with Eve Santaclaus and Hijiri Mochizuki. Their unit is called Holy Night Wish.

Clarice: And I say my prayers with such gratitude and appreciation. After all, a prayer is an internal dialogue with oneself.
Question: Clarice-san, I have to confess something... Even though I made the resolution not to overeat this year, I've always fallen to the temptation of "All sizes costs the same" and ended up ordering the large size and pigging out...

Clarice: There are times that we are like helpless lambs in front of something too attractive.

Question: How do you like your pudding, soft or hard?
Clarice: Well, a thick pudding feels more satisfying to eat while a soft pudding has that nice feeling going down the throat. Each of them has their own uniqueness.
Clarice: Personally, I love them both. And so, I wish that please do give them the same amount of love.

Clarice’s hometown is in the Hyogo Prefecture, being one of only two foreigner idols (along with Anastasia) whose hometown is listed as being in Japan.
She shares some similarities with Soichiro Shinonome, as both are always drawn with their eyes closed and are very dedicated to their respective job.
She is the first idol to have two Cinderella Caravan card sets in Starlight Stage.
She finds Ranko Kanzaki's and Hinako Kita's spirituality notable from their tendency to get lost inside their own imagination.
