Hayato Akiyama (Japanese: 秋山隼人 Akiyama Hayato) is one of the available idols in the mobile game THE iDOLM@STER SideM. He is part of the unit High×Joker along with Haruna, Shiki, Natsuki, and Jun. He is voiced by Shouya Chiba (千葉翔也 Chiba Shouya).

Comments for the Future: I guess when it comes to the future, I have strong feelings about being successful as a band, not just an individual. Being able to hear other people’s thoughts, being able to tell them my own, I think that’s a blessing in and of itself.
Comments about Unit Members: I think Jun’s really pretty amazing on the piano! I’m not very good at telling what Natsuki’s thinking, but there’s no doubt he’s got some talent. Haruna cleans up pretty well when we need him to, too! Shiki... well, he gets carried away pretty easily, but he’s a good kid.

Character Description and Personality
Hayato is the passionate leader of High×Joker, as well as the unit's guitarist. He also serves as a composer for the group along with Jun Fuyumi as a lyricist. He is a very energetic and friendly boy who gets excited easily but doesn't go too overboard. He is also a bit of a crybaby, having the tendency to cry when he is extremely happy, such as when he came in first during the 1st SideM Election. Hayato is always thinking of different ways on how to become popular, as this was his motivation for starting the light music club at his high school. Despite this, he never tries to upstage any of his fellow band members. As the leader, he has a strong sense of responsibility towards the rest of his band members. He always helps them out when they're troubled or if they're having trouble during practice.
Hayato is a boy of below average height with moss green hair and brown-hazel eyes. His most common outfit is his school uniform, a white button-up shirt with gray sweater-vest. His HighxJoker outfit features a long sleeved white shirt, a black tie, and an open red vest embroidered with the unit's logo.

- His parents work overseas, so he lives with his older brother. He admires his older brother, who is supposedly a skillful person.
- Hayato was one of the first High×Joker members to win the SideM Election, and the first to take one of the top two spots in the final poll.
- According to his "Remembrance Shot" card, he loves to watch baseball match, which is quite similar to Subaru Nagayoshi.
- In SideM's Tales franchise collaboration event, he cosplays as Sync the Tempest from Tales of the Abyss.
- Hayato likes bug-catching, much like Rika Jougasaki. He used to catch bugs with his brother when they were younger, and he sometimes invites others to accompany him when the weather is right.
- He shares the same birthday with Rei Shinohara.
