Character Description
Hikaru is a girl who dreams of becoming a superheroine and saving the world from evil. As the “good guy” sentai hero, she is honest to a fault. As an idol, she always dons her sentai wear which usually consists of a feminine-style heroic outfit, a set of goggles, a utility belt, and a scarf. While the type of shows she likes is for a male audience, she loves heroic series like Super Sentai and Kamen Rider.
In the tie-in Cinderella Girls Theater skits, Hikaru yearns to be a real-life hero and believes that her dreams will only be fully realized when she becomes one. When it is revealed that she doesn’t have a catchphrase to say for her transformation sequence, she freaks out and asks Akiha Ikebukuro to redesign her hero suit with this in mind. She is apparently friends with Chika Yokoyama, who has her own magical girl show.

- Hikaru is voiced as of August 21, 2018 through [Dream Singing Vigor] SSR card in Starlight Stage, as a result of placing seventeenth overall in the 7th Cinderella Girl General Election.
- Her [Little Hero] SR Card originally featured figures of Kamen Riders such as Eiji Hino/Kamen Rider OOO, Kazuma Kenzaki/ Kamen Rider Blade, Gentaro Kisaragi/Kamen Rider Fourze, Sou Yaguruma/ Kamen Rider KickHopper (previously known as Kamen Rider TheBee), and Kaixa, along with figures of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger and Ultra Seven, and a poster for Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO: Movie War Mega Max. This card was later changed.
- "Hikaru" is a unisex name meaning "light". "Hikari", written with the same kanji is a variant of the name used only for women.
- In the U149 manga, she is from a different company from the main characters, along with Reina Koseki and Sana Miyoshi.
- Her birthday date, September 13th was also the pun of access number of Masato Kusaka/Kamen Rider Kaixa from Kamen Rider 555 (Faiz). In Goroawase, 913 can be read as "kuiza".
- Satsumi Matsuda, voice of Syoko Hoshi, has a twin sister, Risae Matsuda who is also a voice actress, and a fan of Hikaru and originally wished to voice her.

- She is often depicted together with Reina Koseki in various fan-art, as a sort of a friendly-enemy relationship.
- Both of them also became associated with Chika Yokoyama, in Hikaru's case, due to both liking to pretend they're different kinds of heroes.
