Character Description

Spacey and out of touch with reality, Hinako spends most of her time daydreaming. In particular, she is fascinated with the idea of being a real-life Cinderella. It is never explained what exactly goes on in her wild imaginings, but we are treated to her trailing off mid-sentence and giggling to herself when she goes into one with a “mufufu...”. It is later shown that she would like to find a Prince Charming on a white horse as her ultimate goal as an idol. As time goes by, however, she realizes that she needs to be more realistic, as seen in her story where she was initially very delusional while telling a Cinderella story for children and then correcting her behavior the next day, apologizing to the same children for it. Hinako's behavior can be traced back to her childhood, when her mother would tell her fairy tales before going to sleep, saying that she could become the princess in the fairy tales.

She shares the same desire to be a real-life princess with Koharu Koga. Despite sharing a similar feeling towards the Producer with Mayu Sakuma, both are actually close friends and even perform as a duo under the name Dream Away.

In the tie-in Cinderella Girls Theater skits, Hinako is almost always found daydreaming, including during the night before a bridal event with Misato and a summer flowing somen feast with Kanna Ariura. She has thought about sharing her drinks with her future Prince Charming, before Chika Yokoyama interrupts her daydreaming. Hinako describes love as a light and sweet sensation. She also occasionally takes a serious demeanor when she feels the need to do so, which has surprised the likes of Ema Senzaki and even attracted Chieri. She thoroughly believes that all her audiences will fully become her fans. Yume Narumiya was subsequently embarrassed by whatever was on Hinako’s painting (additionally, this situation may be a pun on Yume's namesake). Miu Yaguchi is able to mimic Hinako's dreamy behavior, shown when Miu described the dreamy idol in front of both Kana Imai and Tomo Fujii at the make-up room.

Hinako is voiced as of August 17th, 2018 through [Unfinished Dream] SR card in the original Mobage game, as a result of placing ninteenth overall in the 7th Cinderella Girl General Election.
In Starlight Stage, her image stat specialty is Visual.
Hinako is one of five Cinderella Girls idols to hail from Akita. The other four are Airi, Saori, Setsuna and Yukino.
Hinako has an older brother. In stark contrast to her personality, he has been described as a serious hard worker, along with the rest of their family.
Prior to being voiced on August 17, 2018, she was the first unvoiced idol to receive an SSR in Starlight Stage.
Her birthday may be based on the initial release of the famous The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince in French) by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The book was published on April 6, 1943 in the US by Reynal & Hitchcock. This may also explain her fascination towards fairy tales in general.
- Her birthday is also a day apart from that of Rumi's, who was also added on December 31, 2011.
Her image song, Sekai Metsubou or KISS, spans 7 minutes and 15 seconds in its full M@STER version, making it one of the longest songs in Cinderella Girls, even though it was overcomed by Home Sweet Home that spans 8 minutes and 25 seconds.

Fan Culture

Several fans also group her with Atsumi, Nanami, Hayate, and Yoshino, since they share the same height of 151 cm. This fan unit is dubbed 151's.

Ever since the Trust me event for Starlight Stage in December 2018, Hinako often receives new events and/or songs at the month. Fans consider this as "the month of Hinako".
