|THE iDOLM@STER Second Vision Data|
Manami acts as both Ai Hidaka and Ryo Akizuki's manager, though she focuses more on Ai due to her lack of self confidence. Because of this, the two form a close bond. Manami has a gentle, hardworking, and kind personality, although she can be rather ditzy sometimes.
When Manami first met Ryo, she mistook him for a girl and has him fill in for a female idol who was unable to perform at a concert, dressed as a girl. After his success on stage, both Ritsuko Akizuki and Manami agree he would do well as a girl idol and asked him to join their idol agency, but he goes with Manami as she claimed he could debut as a male idol instead. Unfortunately, that was not the case as President Ishikawa would only take him as a girl, which Manami strongly supported. At around the same time, she was introduced to Ai and became the girl's manager.
Manami later leaves 876 Production, which Ai has trouble dealing with, but eventually accepts as she starts to depend on herself. Near the end of Ai's story, she appears as Mai Hidaka's manager when she comes out of retirement.
