Character Description

Meiko is a cheerful young woman who loves traveling and discovering new places. She met the Producer while she was on a trip and asked him to take a photo of her. She's a gutsy girl with little fear of strangers, and is even somewhat stubborn at times; according to her mother (who she apparently inherited her stubbornness from), "once she decides on a path, she never bends". Her mottos are "The most important things are guts and instinct!", and "As soon as you feel nervous, act right away!". Meiko likes to write letters to people rather than e-mailing them, and is currently still in communication with a childhood friend who's living abroad via letters. Many of the people she's met overseas are supporting her and her idol career. She claims she never gets lost, instead just takes "detours", but the accuracy of that is debatable.

She explains that her love of travelling likely came from her first trip abroad. While she was with a friend, she was quite nervous, but ended up working up the courage to speak to the locals. Despite the language barrier, she became friends with them, which became a starting point for her enjoyment of travel. While she enjoys travelling abroad, Meiko has a deep love of her hometown, Wakayama, and still enjoys travelling domestically across Japan as well. She shares the same hobby of traveling worldwide with Megumi Ijuin (who are in the units Journey Star and Romantic Tours with her), Misato (Journey Star), and Natsumi (Spice Dancers and Romantic Tours).

In the tie-in Cinderella Girls Theater skits, She has a never-ending curiosity for new places and a huge interest at traveling. She has been to Las Vegas in the past and wandered around there until she sensed danger. Meiko is good at recommending tourist locations and local customs. She carries a lucky rabbit’s foot as a charm.

Meiko introduced Tsukasa to the Producer. She witnessed Clarice’s silencing of Kirari and believes that she may have seen her eyes. She also finds Mayu to be very observant, but also rude towards the Producer. She has been shown doing lessons together with Emi and Otoha.

Meiko shares the same birthday with Rina Fujimoto.
Meiko is one of two Cinderella Girls idols to hail from Wakayama. The other one is Kaede.
One of her goals is to visit the hometown of every idol in the production.
She likes to wear hats and headbands but occasionally puts her hair up during lives.
