THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS U149 is a spin-off manga adaptation of THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls written and illustrated by Kyouno. Set in a different Cinderella Girls canon, it features almost of the younger idols under 12 years old (as the title implies, who are under 149cm of height) of the series and a new, short producer. It is currently serialized on Cygames' comics app Cycomics every Saturday (unless specified).
An accompanying 4-panel comic drawn by yabaichan, subtitled Dai-3 Geinou-ka dayo (第３芸能課だよ), is also serialized every Saturday on the Official Twitter.
An anime series by CygamesPictures loosely based on the manga began airing on April 5, 2023, the first story-focused manga spin-off to receive such an adaptation.

Characters
This is the list of main characters that are involved in the story. Third Entertainment Division is an idol division of an unnamed production agency comprised of under-12 idols and their producer.
The initial lineup from Chapter 01 - "Third Entertainment Division 01" consists of Arisu Tachibana, Momoka Sakurai, Nina Ichihara, Kaoru Ryuzaki, Miria Akagi, Haru Yuuki, Risa Matoba, Chie Sasaki, and Koharu Koga.
Starting from Chapter 22 - "Third Entertainment Division 04," Chika Yokoyama is added to the cast, and from Chapter 29 - "Nina Ichihara 02," Mai Fukuyama joins the main lineup. In Chapter 66 - "+Step 02," Yukimi Sajo and Kozue Yusa were added to the main cast.

Trivia
- Currently, Mai and Chika are the only characters from the main cast that are unvoiced, both of whom are Cute idols.
- Chie, Kaoru, and Risa received their solos through the manga. Takumi and Rina share this distinction in WIND WIND GIRL.
- Haru received a voice actress through the manga. She is the only idol to have this distinction.
- Starting from Volume 6 to Volume 10, Special Editions of said volumes won't receive a drama part unlike the SE releases for the first five volumes of U149.
- Starting from Volume 11 onwards, tankobon of each volume will not have a bonus CD inside their Special Edition prints at all.
- In the U149 canon, Momoka and Kaoru did not address the Producer by their special honorifics ("Producer-chama" for Momoka, "Sensei" for Kaoru); instead they call him by "Producer-san" or just "Producer".
- Despite the division consisting of 12-and-under idols, Rika Jougasaki and Mary Cochran are not in the division due to their height exceeding 149cm. They are, however, involved with several story arcs later.
