|Video Game Data|
THE iDOLM@STER Starlit Season (アイドルマスター スターリットシーズン Aidorumasutaa Sutaaritto Shiizun) is the third Playstation 4 game in the 2nd Vision series and the first-ever Steam game, created in celebration of the franchise's 15th anniversary. This game marks the first crossover game between the characters from THE iDOLM@STER, Cinderella Girls, Million Live!, and Shiny Colors. The graphics and models from THE iDOLM@STER Platinum Stars and THE iDOLM@STER Stella Stage have been carried over with some minor adjustments and additional models for the newly added characters.
"Starlit Season" is an idol unit competition in which the winner can become the first idols to perform in the newly opened Starlit Dome. "You," a producer of the talent agency 765 Production, have returned to Japan from an overseas training program.
After returning to the 765 Production office, you are greeted by Junjirou Takagi and hear his idea to "assemble a brand-new, special idol unit of members comprising from different agencies" to compete in the Starlit Season. Takagi tells you that he has already called several agencies and all of them are have given him positive replies. And only moments after your arrival, you are officially tasked by Takagi to produce this four-brand special unit, "Project LUMINOUS."
The goal of the game is to have your unit reach top rank over the span of 10 months, divided into 4 seasons: Spring Night, Summer Dolphin, Halloween Autumn, and Christal Winter. Unlike previous games, schedules are not determined by weeks, but by days.
The game takes place over a 10-month-long elimination tournament schedule, with the goal of overcoming each challenge and perform in the final stage of Starlit Season.
