Character Description
Yoko is a woman who enjoys exercise, training, and everything healthy. She is very passionate about her health and beauty, and she can usually be found with Itsuki Manabe, who also likes exercising. Both share the same birthday and are commonly depicted together, from the initial unit Light Green Surf (along with Natsuki and Marina) to their trademark unit Heat Up Cheers (along with Tomoka Wakabayashi).
The tie-in Cinderella Girls Theater skits depict Yoko as a healthy and happy young woman. She is friends and exercise partners with Itsuki, and the duo even competed in a marathon together. She tries to keep the Producer comfortable even if the situation is difficult for him. When Hotaru accidentally dropped a flower pot on her, Yoko caught it before it could hit the ground. She handed the plant back to Hotaru, and it was noticeably healthier than it originally had been. She also enjoys surfing and believes that onsen have a nice beautifying effect. At one time, she escorted the sleepyhead Kozue to the Producer's sofa, only to find out that he was already sleeping there. Yoko prevented Kozue from insisting on sleeping on him and fixed his blanket's position. In a pajama party with Miyo, Hina, and Nanami, Yoko started a discussion about beauty management with the two fellow 20 year-old idols and was surprised to find the youngest idol already fall asleep soon. Yoko gave an advice for Tamami to become a grown-up, which made the high schooler go out with the Producer. During an off-time activity with Heat Up Cheers, she gave an advice about her beauty skin secret while carrying a body cream, which invited Mizuki Kawashima's attention. Prior to an event, Yoko offered fellow Fukuoka idol Chizuru Matsuo chocolate, as well as Hasumi and Kaoru, which made the youngest idol suggest that the same chocolate party be held every time Chizuru is about to perform. Yoko's love for moving her body extends to her Battle Talk practices, where she has been seen practicing her lines while on an exercise bike. During a New Year's prayer in a temple, Yoko noted how Noa was seemingly praying as well, only for her to reveal that she was, in fact, not praying at all, causing both Yoko and Shinobu to decide to pray once again (in the case of Shinobu, this is because she "prayed the same as Noa's prayer"). During another off-time break on the office, Yoko was attempting to solve a Rubik's cube and offered Shiki to finish it for her. The puzzle was later borrowed by Kozue (who, surprisingly, was able to finish it only by remembrance) and Itsuki, who, attempting to finish it herself, was also cheered on by Tomoka. Yoko praised the unit for this cooperation. Yoko has used the same obon ghost costume for two different events; one featuring Heat Up Cheers and another in a Halloween event along with Miyabi and Shino.
